Many people link medical research with university-affiliated hospitals. But St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers is committed to developing the technology and treatments for tomorrow.

St. Francis has a longstanding tradition of medical research, and our physicians have been published in medical journals such as:

Our physicians are nationally known leaders in their field, including one who contributed to the National Institutes of Health consensus statement for knee replacement in 2004.

Our Research Services Center helps physicians focus on patients and research results. The center provides coordinators who handle the details of setting up, monitoring and submitting research initiatives.

In addition to supporting physician research, the St. Francis Cancer Research Foundation offers cancer patients in Indianapolis and south central Indiana local participation in more than 75+ FDA-approved investigational trials sponsored by the National Cancer Institute and many pharmaceutical companies.
