St. Francis Health Network

The St. Francis Health Network is a nonprofit corporation that unites St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers, affiliated physicians and ancillary health services providers to offer residents of south central Indiana quality managed care that is effective, evidence-based, and patient-focused. Our staff collaborates with physicians and hospital personnel to monitor the quality of care provided to patients, and we seek to ensure the appropriate use of hospital services and pharmaceuticals.

Formed in 1993, the Network administers care for thousands of members in various health plans, including HMOs, PPOs, and directly with employers.

Our services include:

• Employer Solutions: Employers can contract directly with the St. Francis Health Network to obtain deep discounts for services from St. Francis Hospital, St. Francis physicians and St. Francis ancillary providers
• Premier Healthway: An innovative pricing arrangement that provides employers with coverage for many cardiovascular procedures at one low case rate cost.
• Medical Management: The Network provides consulting expertise to employers seeking to reduce employee health costs. Medical management involves ongoing management of inpatient admissions and outpatient services to ensure patients receive the most efficient and cost effective care.
• Disease Management: This program provides health plan members with help in managing chronic conditions, such as diabetes or asthma.
• Commercial HMO Administration: St. Francis Health Network manages the medical needs of thousands of HMO members living in Central Indiana.
• Medicaid Programs: The Network participates in many of Indiana’s Medicaid health programs.
• Quality monitoring: Each year, the Network prepares quality report cards detailing efforts to improve the quality of care provided to commercial health plan members and members of the state’s Hoosier Healthwise health insurance program.
• Third Party Administration Services: In conjunction with Cooperative Managed Care Services (CMCS), St. Francis Health Network provides operational support services needed to medically manage and pay for health services.
