At the heart of St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers’ mission to provide both physical and spiritual healing is a steadfast commitment to serving our community. Our mission to serve remains the focus of everything we do.
More than 90 years ago, the Sisters of St. Francis came to Beech Grove to provide the community's need of quality healthcare. Today, St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers continue to provide a community service, with a true commitment to caring for the poor and disenfranchised. We treat all patients—uninsured and insured—with the same dignity, respect and compassion.
St. Francis physicians and staff reach beyond the walls of our facilities to improve access to health care and engage in activities designed to make the communities we serve healthier places to live, work, and raise families. We encourage families and individuals to lead healthier lives through community partnerships, educational programs in schools and churches, health screenings, seminars presented by our medical staff, and participation in various public forums.
