Benefits
St. Francis offers competitive and comprehensive benefits to its employees. The information below provides a summary of these benefits. For more complete information, please visit our Human Resources Department at our Beech Grove campus, or visit CROSS for more details. 

Paid Time Off (PTO)
A pooled benefit for short term sick time, holiday, vacation and personal time accrued on status of employment and years of service. Full-time and Regular Part-time employees begin earning PTO immediately upon hire, but must complete 30 days of employment before they are eligible to take the time. Full time hourly employees earn 187 hours in a 12-month period. The accrual factor increases after 3 years of service.

Reserve Sick Bank (RSB)
To be used for employee's personal illness. Full-time and Regular Part-time employees begin earning RSB immediately upon hire, but must complete 6 months of employment before they are eligible to take the time. Full time employees will earn 48 hours per year.

Health Insurance
St. Francis offers two plan options: Franciscan HMO and Advantage HMO. Full-time and Regular Part-time employees are eligible the first of the month following hire date. Pretax premium deductions.

Dental Insurance
Full-time and Regular Part-time employees are eligible the first of the month following hire date. Pretax premium deductions. High benefit level when using a Preferred Provider Network.

Vision Insurance
Minimal copays for exams and glasses when using contracted providers.

Pension Plan (Retirement Security Account)
A pension account is established for employees after one year of employment. Five year vesting.

403b Tax Savings Plan (Retirement Savings Account)
Employees are eligible to contribute immediately upon hire and become eligible for matching contributions after 1 year of employment. The hospital will match 50% of first 3% contributed by employees with three years vesting.

Short and Long Term Disability
Short Term Disability covered via RSB and PTO. Full-time employees are eligible for LTD after 1 yr. LTD coverage at 60% of base salary after 90 days of disability. There is no cost to employee.
Supplemental STD coverage available through AFLAC.

Life Insurance
Full-time employees are provided 1x Annual base salary of life coverage after 1 year of employment at no cost. Regular Part-time employees are provided $10,000 of life coverage after 1 year of employment at no cost.
Supplemental and dependent life insurance available at employee’s cost after 1 year of employment.

Tuition Reimbursement
Full-time employees are eligible for reimbursement of up to 7 college accredited credit hours per semester (Regular Part-time-3 credits)

Tax-Saver Plans
St. Francis offers both Dependent Care and Unreimbursed Medical Savings Plans. Employees may elect pretax deductions up to $5,000 per year for child care expenses. Annual Unreimbursed Medical deductions may range from $260 to $1,500.

Payroll Deductions
St. Francis offers payroll deduction for all St. Francis sponsored as well as a variety of Supplemental benefits such as prepaid legal, Long term care, AFLAC, Health Club, gift shop purchases and payment of hospital bills.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Available to employees and members of his/her immediate family at no cost.

Adoption Assistance
Full-time and regular part-time employees who have completed 6 months of employment are eligible for financial assistance for the adoption of a child.

Dependent Care
In addition to the Pre-tax Dependent Care Savings Account, St. Francis offers a discount of 20% for child care at KinderCare.
