Dr. Ritter studied in England with Sir John Charnley, master surgeon and pioneer of the world’s first workable total hip replacement.

Michael E. Berend, M.D. Orthopaedic Surgeon  Dr. Michael E. Berend is a fellowship-trained, board-certified, orthopaedic surgeon.
He received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in 1992. Dr. Berend was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. As a resident Berend received numerous awards including:

Robert A. Malinzak, M.D., Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Robert Malinzak is a fellowship-trained, board-certified, orthopaedic surgeon.
He has a special interest in joint replacement of the shoulder, hip and knee as well as rapidly returning his patients to an active lifestyle. In addition, sports medicine injuries such as ACL tears of the knee and rotator cuff pathology of the shoulder are disorders Dr. Malinzak has a keen interest in treating.

Dr. Malinzak received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in 1999 and undergraduate degree from Davidson College. He served his Orthopaedic Residency at Duke University, with a fellowship in Joint Reconstruction and Sports Medicine at the Center for Hip & Knee Surgery in Mooresville, and training at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute in Van Nuys, Calif.
He has authored and co-authored research articles on joint replacement and sports medicine topics that have been published in national journals and presented at national meetings. Dr. Malinzak is the lead author on the acclaimed Orthopaedic Board Review textbook entitled First Aid for the Orthopaedic Boards.
