• Why Family Medicine: Dr. Coppinger has always considered family relationships to be the most important, so it was a natural step for him to select family medicine. As a child in a community of 3,000 people, Dr. Coppinger decided that he wanted to practice family medicine in a small town and has spent the past 20 years working toward that goal.

• Why Family Medicine: After college, Dr. Diamond spent eight years doing jobs that had always interested him, including medical research, carpentry, teaching and art. While studying sculpture and teaching anatomy, Dr. Diamond came to the realization that he wanted to become a doctor. He originally assumed he would take up surgery, but as he cycled through medical school rotations, he found himself enjoying every specialty he encountered. An elective in family medicine solidified his final choice.

She hopes to become the sort of physician who can become a part of her patients’ lives as she provides care from cradle to grave.
